Cold ride home

NEW YEAR 2010

Rang in the new year at anchorage in Gulfport, FL.

Sailed down with Jim, Lorraine and Bocci.

New Year's Eve dinner was incredible at the Peninsula Inn and Spa.  Special live entertainment by Felix "Nat King Cole" Payton!  Joined for dinner by Lorraine's friends Rick and Bill.

Weather was very cool (40's) so the morning walk/dinghy ride was invigorating to say the least.  Sibber and Bocci romped on the beach.

Also, Sibber and I met a pretty big mixed breed dog, Maya, at the park on Sunday.  They had a grand time running and romping too.

Had an interesting walk through an antique show where there were many dogs.  Good practice for Sibber being around a lot of people and other dogs.  All in all he behaved pretty well.  In a "it's a small world" moment, we met a woman, Lois, who was involved in Schip rescue and knew Barbara and Al Lewis (where we got Sibber).

Sure, it looks like snow!  And it certainly felt cold enough to be snow.  

But alas, it's only Florida beach sand.
